They fly over the net into your e-mail box to help you build a more positive workplace environment and improve results through the people-to-people ("P2P") connections.
We have "talked" about employees, internal/external customers, leaders, managers, supervisors, and now, in this special edition...we’ll focus on another critical business partner, our vendors!
Before you “click” to take a look at the new site, I want to share a great story about how collaboration, teamwork, and the spirit of friendship with our vendors can also lead to great results.
The new site, created by TSG Web Plus in Brookfield, CT (www.tsgwebplus.com) is indeed a classic example of "P2P" (people-to-people) in action!
I met Malin Zergiebel, TSG President and owner, through a colleague, about two years ago after a terrible experience with the development of my first website. When Malin and I first talked by phone, I knew I had found the right person to help me with the maintenance of the site as there was an authenticity and honesty about him that is rare these days! In my "P2P" spirit, I suggested we meet for lunch to talk things over and, as they say, the rest is history...
Malin and I now meet for lunch every three to four months to talk about business and some new ideas in between other routine phone calls. (He says I am the only client who's ever taken the time to have lunch with him!) We’ve developed a very open, “positive” working relationship, and when we discussed retooling the site earlier this year to make it more user-friendly and easier to maintain, Malin came through yet again for me!
The collaborative relationship and spirit of friendship we've developed ("P2P") over the years now proved even more valuable to me and my business with a terrific new site, created by top notch experts at an affordable, fair price.
Carolyn Moore, one of Malin's web designers in Key West, FL, was brought on the project about two months ago. Before any work was started, Carolyn spent quite a bit of her time on the old site watching the video clips, reading every inch of text and talking with me by phone to get to know my personality and my ideas, first. How refreshing! Taking the time to understand and know what the customer wants! ("P2P")
Over the past many weeks, the three of us each had our homework assignments - their IT magic & graphics; my creating new and revised content, proof reading, sending photos, etc. and, with weekly teleconferences, we tweeked the "work in progress" until we got it right! We agreed, disagreed, brainstormed, and collaborated, and actually had fun in the process! Talk about a website design dream team! ("P2P")
So, thank you, Malin and Carolyn, for your advice, your talents, your integrity, your experience, your fine ("P2P") service, and most of all, your friendship. You have helped me “turn up the dimmer switch” for my work and platform, A Positive Workplace Means Business! TM. You are the best on the planet!
So, in closing today’s message, please remember to develop those “P2P” relationships with your vendors and suppliers, as well. The results are evident...positively!
